Lazy Sunday. Need I say more?

Went to church with Sergio to the Colonial 1st ward and tried to stay awake. Good thing my sister called to ask a very important question... "should i buy the 8GB iPod Nano or the 16GB?"

I told her to buy the 16GB model.

So here is what we did after choych.

Walked across a river to hit up this Salvadorian restaurant for some pupusas.

Took some photos of a building

Took a photo of the sky and clouds and a light post

Sergio telling Scotty how to order in Spanish... Scott still mixed in some italian... and if you were wondering... yes, those are silver tab jeans scott is wearing.

they can't spell very well here... but they make some good pupusas... so it all evens out in the end.

Sergio and Scott "eye-ing" my foosh... if you didn't know already... the plastics utensils double as tools for eating and shanks and daggers... guess which one i used?

Went back to homebase to relax... such a beautiful day all around.

DC Day 2

DC Day 2...
The day started out quite nicely... woke up and went straight to the to breakfast cause we needed head out the to Nationals Park. But before we got going... we hit up this Salvadorian restaurant to get a nutritional breakfast which consisted of an apple pastry and hot chocolate.

Sergio and Scott still drinking their hot chocolate... i'm pretty sure i burnt an estimated 45% of my taste buds from drinking my hot chocolate.

We got to the metro station to head over to the ballpark.

finally someone who rivals my iPhone usage...

Metro station

water under a bridge.

is it me... or does this adorable kid remind you of Jay-Z?

Round 2 at National Park

People gathered together at National Park to celebrate a gals birthday. of the 15 people that were there... i'm pretty sure there were 2 people genuinely paying attention to the game... everyone else was taking or taking pictures... and guess what i was doing....

Sergio and Me before the downpour.

there were these statues depicting different baseball movements that actually showed a frame by frame. here's one of them...

Scott and i at the team store determined to find an Montreal Expos hat...

FIVE GUYS once again.

meeting new people... that's jen. apparently scotty indirectly got her fired from a job. he's that good of a marketer that the marketing firm jen worked for laid her off cause scott's company snagged one of her clients... words were exchanged... but they made up in the end.

the bday gal... happy bday shanna... and look and her beautiful blue eyes and without color enhancements in photoshop.

It started raining a lot during the game so we just headed back home and rested.

taking the death star back home...

DC Day 1

About 2 weeks ago i asked my old mission buddy Scott if he wanted to go to NYC for a week to chill and decompress... he said "why don't we just go to DC and see U2 and MUSE in concert?" my response was, "um... ok." 2 weeks later... we're here in DC

So i landed DC on Friday... and i immediately took out my camera.

sitting and waiting for my iPhone to charge.

took the metro out to meet with my buddy sergio who lives out in Arlington VA.

sergio stuck in the middle with these 2 guys.

Scotty and Serg talking planes, trains and automobiles.

The metro here in DC looks like it took the architecture from a Star Wars film...

Took the green line to the Navy Yard to go to a party... and it was close to Nats Stadium...

Before we went to the party we had to go hit up FIVE GUYS. I've been there before but this time around i took my time to order it just right. i ordered a hamboyger with with grilled onions, grilled bell peppers, mayo and lettuce... delicious to the max (do people still say that?). in any case i wasn't hungry the rest of the night to say the least...

A master piece of culinary goodness...

We then hit up the party which ended up being on a rooptop... something we don't have enough in LA. but this apartment building was right behind the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument. Can't complain... it was a GOOD night.

Rooftop party full of green water and good conversation...

and phrenology instruments.

and an impromptu photo shoot with scotty and graffiti.

and the ride home...

DC Day 1 in the books... DC Day 2 is still being written as i blog...

For those of you who know me... i love art. Unfortunately my finger isn't always on the pulse of the art community so a lot of what i discover happens after someone's done a lot of the leg work. So I owe this one to Bobby Hundreds.
Here is Phillip Lumbang. This guys used to work for Studio One (Shepard Fairey's Design Studio) and now is on his own trying to go at it alone. Last night was the opening reception of Hug Life Exhibit in LA. All of this exhibit consisted of was furry little animals, mostly bears. I went with my homies Kelly, Jeremy and Ann. The reason why i like this art so much is because it's simple. There isn't a philosophy behind it or technique learned from art school... it's just art. Art that i like.

The art was both visually stimulating and educational. Who knew a Black Bear and a Polar Bear made a Panda Bear?

Shepard Fairey on the One's and Two's

Well there you have it. i loved the exhibit and it was just good to get out and support a local artist that is about to blow up.
